Pollination

One of the most important jobs of the bee is pollination. Simply put, pollination is plant reproduction; it is the transfer of pollen from the male part of the flower to the female part which results in a seed, nut or fruit forming Without our bees focusing their energies on pollinating our plants, our food supply would look very different. In fact, many of the staple foods we’ve come to rely on would be no longer available for example cucumbers, pumpkins, almonds, apples and cherries.

As well as the food which the bees help to create via pollination as we’ve mentioned above, bees provide honey!
